Use StackOverflow instead of the Web2Py Group?

StackOverflow is by-far a much more efficient way of asking questions. The Mailing-list, though good, isn't as low-noise as SO (It isn't easy to find info, there)...
Therefore I strongly suggest that we use SO for all Web2Py questions that'll fit there and QA-STACK for rest of the support questions.
Why hasn't the community moved there, yet?

I found the web2py-users mailing-list pretty usefull... Sometime when you can't be enought precise on your issue, the list is much easier then Q &A with score...

Probably for the same reason that they have not moved in here :)

SO is built on Microsoft's technologies, though open source as far as I can tell, many of the people involved in web2py don't want to be locked down or otherwise being dependent on one single platform, QA-Stack is built on web2py, and even though it is not as fat and robust as SO, it can cater to a specific niche of people.

Furthermore, how much resources does it take to install SO on a 'private' setting?, do you need licenses?, what DB/Windows licensees are needed?, qa-stack, for instance, does not even require a full-blown DB (Python's own SQLite would do), you can install this app in a matter of seconds and be up and running in no time, simplicity is probably my main 'sales pitch' here.

I don't take any credit out of SO itself, but to me developing any "open source" on a non-open source platform (and locking it to it) is sufficiently enough to look for alternativas, hence QA-Stack's existence.
